"The Month of the Abib"
How to know when to start God's year.

The North West Church of God is constantly looking for ways to reach more people with the content of this site, which came about because we found it more and more difficult to place this kind of information, with its biblical content, in the national press.

Recently, in surveying our abilities and talents, we recognized that God had given us talents and experience in creative visual ways. From this we progressed to the idea of placing visuals incorporating God's message in Christian bookshops, and on talking to the bookshops we found there was a need for audio-visual material which bolsters belief in God and His word in a non sectarian way.

So, in late February 2004 we set off for Israel where we produced a film to broadcast standards based upon the early life of Jesus Christ, up to his baptism. This foundational film contains biblical truths regarding the Plan of God not generally understood by mainstream Christianity. It will be made available to the public through Christian bookstores in the form of video and DVD, and hopefully it will also be broadcast, bringing in enough income to build upon that foundation with further filmed messages. We hope that, by setting the word of God in its geographical context, we can make it visually exciting and more meaningful, while bringing alive God's plan for this very special land to which Jesus Christ will shortly return to establish His Kingdom.

While in Israel we made a short film on the Abib Expedition - "The Month of the Abib", about the annual search for abib barley in Israel, by which God reveals to us when to start the month of the abib, which is the first month of God's year. (See Leviticus 23:10).
