Next Archbishop	Homosexualiy condemned
The selection of the next Archbishop of Canterbury could well inspire a major International split within the Anglican church. This is because a candidate, the Arch-bishop of Wales, Dr. Rowan Williams, supposedly heading the list given to the British Prime Minister, who selects the Archbishop of Canterbury has expressed tolerance towards the practise of homosexuality. Were he to be successful, this could lead to the ordination of many practising homosexuals within the Church of England. However, as the only flourishing part of the Anglican church is to be found on the African continent, where there is still the understanding that one can only truly worship God by respecting His Laws in the Bible, which clearly condemn homosexuality, this does not bode well for the future unity of the Anglican church. The evangelical Africans, and still a few Anglican clergy in Britain, know that the Bible approves only heterosexual sex within marriage, which in the bible pictures the sacred relationship between Jesus Christ and His church, both providing the permanent secure environment to help earthly children to become sons and daughters of God. Romans 9:8 "That is, those who are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God; but the children of the promise are counted as the seed." On the other hand, the word of God considers the practice of homosexuality to be an abomination. Leviticus 18:22 , "You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." Sodomites were not permitted in ancient Israel , Deuteronomy 23:17 "There shall be no ritual harlot of the daughters of Israel, or a perverted one of the sons of Israel." Sodomy, of course, gained it's name from the ancient city of Sodom (see Genesis 19) which so offended God by it's depravity that He destroyed it totally by fire and brimstone from heaven, Genesis 19:24 , "Then the LORD rained brimstone and fire on Sodom and Gomorrah, from the LORD out of the heavens." The New Testament also condemns homosexuality as an immoral life-style which leads to God's anger. Their rejection of His words in the bible causes God to give them over to minds "void of judgment", Romans 1:18,26-28,32:	"18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them." Nevertheless, homosexuals, just like adulterers or any other sinners can repent by turning from their sin. As Jesus said to the woman caught in the act of adultery , John 8:11, "Go, and sin no more." Repentance and baptism washes us clean of our sin, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, so that we can be begotten by the Holy Spirit as children of God , 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." Many bishops and arch-bishops in the Church of England seem unable to accept these words, 2 Timothy 4:3-4, just as the bible predicted. "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables." Political correctness, it seems, is more important to them than biblical correctness, Matthew 13:15, "For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them."
